Devalued Paper Transformed Into Collectible Art.

The initiative began in 2014 as a creative response to hyperinflation in Venezuela. In a context where the local currency lost its value day by day, art intervened to transform a nearly worthless piece of paper into a work of symbolic and aesthetic significance. Billete Serio has been the face of platforms such as Las Reinas Pepiadas and has been showcased at prominent numismatic fairs in Caracas.

While many pieces are crafted in the collectible ACEO (Art Cards, Editions and Originals) format—meticulously designed on the standard 2.5 x 3.5-inch scale—the project also encompasses larger, freestyle collages. By blending banknote folding, acrylic painting, and paper collages across varied mediums, each 1/1 original brings together the intimacy of a trading card and the expressive freedom of contemporary fine art.
